Are you passionate about helping lift people out of fuel poverty? Are you a self-starter, with proven programme coordinator experience and driven by the positive results you enable? Can you work enthusiastically supporting multiple partners in a wide-ranging role?
Burnham & Weston Energy is recruiting a Programme Coordinator to enable the successful delivery of our soon-to-be-announced Energy Champions Programme and our Home Energy Saving Service.
Energy Champions and Home Energy Saving
Our Energy Champions programme is made possible by funding from Somerset Community Foundation. They’re supporting us to work with the amazing Citizens Advice Somerset, Citizens Advice West Somerset, Age UK Somerset and West Somerset Green Forum.
Our aim is to ensure that the most vulnerable people living in these areas receive not only energy-relevant support to which they are entitled, but that we will work holistically. Together we want to be able to flex our solutions and connect with community support groups to meet multiple and complex needs of local people. We anticipate our Energy Champions will be instrumental in helping people benefit from warmer homes and lower energy bills, and an important cog in connecting vulnerable people to other locally available help such as food, debt and health services and old fashioned kindness and support from the incredible humans in our communities.

Qualifications and experience
This is very much a role for a personable and experienced project coordinator. The successful candidate will be capable of maintaining relationships and inputs from multiple organisations and people. You’ll have a firm knowledge of what it takes to make a positive difference to the lives of people, particularly those who are vulnerable.
Able to build rapport with colleagues, partners, people and organisations in the communities we serve, you will also need great communication skills and be happy to work flexibly and on your own initiative with minimum supervision.
