What Is Retrofitting?

‘Retrofitting’ involves making upgrades to your home to help it use less energy. These can range from small fixes like draught-proofing to larger improvements like insulation or energy-efficient heating systems. Retrofitting creates homes that are warmer, more affordable to run and better for the environment.

Burnham and Weston Energy will select 10 homes from app registrants to receive professional retrofit assessments by the Building Energy Experts. The selected homes will represent a range of property types, helping the organisation create practical retrofit roadmaps that other local homeowners can follow.

How to Get Involved

Signing up is quick and easy—it takes just five minutes. Simply scan the QR code on our flyers, or visit https://app.fairerwarmth.com

To build momentum, Burnham and Weston Energy is also hosting a launch event in early February. The event will showcase the project’s benefits, provide practical advice on retrofitting and give attendees the chance to ask questions and sign up for the Fairer Warmth app. Details about the event’s date and location will be announced soon.
